গুয়াহাটির একটি হোটেলে সম্পত্তির বিবাদের জেরে চলল গুলি (Guwahati Shoot Out)। মৃত্যু হল পাঁচ জনের। গুরুতর জখম হয়েছেন একজন। সোমবার রাতে শহরের বরা সার্ভিস এলাকার বিলাস ইন হোটেলে গুলি চলার ঘটনাটি ঘটে। পুলিশের অনুমান, হোটেলের মালিকের সঙ্গে লিজ নিয়ে হোটেল পরিচালনায় থাকা ব্যক্তিদের বিবাদ বাঁধে। হোটেলের লিজ নিয়েছিলেন ঘনকান্ত গগৈ। তিনি গুলি চালান। গুলিতে মৃত্যু হয়েছে পাঁচ জনের। ইতিমধ্যেই পুলিশ তাঁকে গ্রেপ্তার করেছে।
মৃতদের মধ্যে রয়েছেন হোটেলের মালিক হেলেনা ভরালি, তাঁর ছেলে দেবর্ষি কাশ্যপ, দেবর্ষির স্ত্রী রিনিকি কাশ্যপ, এক আত্মীয় নারায়ণ দাস এবং হেলেনার ভাই ভূদেব ভরালি। গুলিতে জখম হয়েছেন পরিবারের আর এক আত্মীয় সত্যেন্দ্র পাঠক। তাঁকে গুয়াহাটি মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করানো হয়েছে। হাসপাতাল সূত্রে খবর, তাঁর শারীরিক অবস্থা স্থিতিশীল।

পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, ধৃত ঘনকান্ত গগৈ ওই হোটেলটি লিজ নিয়ে চালাতেন। ঘটনাস্থল থেকে একটি ৩২ বোরের লাইসেন্সপ্রাপ্ত পিস্ত উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে। সেটি থেকে গুলি করা হয়েছিল বলে মনে করা হচ্ছে।
গুয়াহাটির পুলিশ কমিশনার পার্থসারতি মহন্ত জানিয়েছেন, ‘গুলিতে মোট ছ’জন জখম হয়েছিলেন। তাঁদের মধ্যে পাঁচ জনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। বাকি একজনের চিকিৎসা চলছে। তিনি বলেন, ঘটনায় ব্যবহৃত ৩২ বোরের লাইসেন্সপ্রাপ্ত পিস্তলটি বাজেয়াপ্ত করা হয়েছে। ধৃতকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করা হচ্ছে। প্রাথমিক তদন্তে মনে করা হচ্ছে, হোটেলের লিজ নিয়ে বিবাদের জেরেই এই ঘটনা।‘

পুলিশ কমিশনার আরও বলেন, নিহতেরা সকলেই হোটেলের মালিকের পরিবারের সদস্য অথবা আত্মীয়। প্রাথমিক তদন্তে জানা গিয়েছে, যিনি লিজ নিয়েছিলেন, তিনি গুলি চালিয়েছেন (Guwahati Shoot Out)। তবে ঘটনার নেপথ্যে ঠিক কী কারণ রয়েছে, তা খতিয়ে দেখা হচ্ছে।
এদিকে, গুয়াহাটির আইনশৃঙ্খলা নিয়ে উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করেছেন আসাম প্রদেশ কংগ্রেস সভাপতি তথা যোরহাটের সাংসদ গৌরব গগৈ। সমাজমাধ্যমে তিনি এই ঘটনার উল্লেখ করে শোক প্রকাশ করেছেন।
